About

In 1995 I picked up my first 35mm film camera and it just felt right in my hands. At 17 years old, the darkroom became my favourite place in the whole world. Although the first 1000 (or probably more) images I produced where pure garbage, the passion was fierce enough to keep chasing the craft.

Photography as a career didn’t seem realistic at the time, so I opted to study IT & Media Design in College, but deep down I knew photography was were my heart was. In 2007, I was gifted my first DSLR Camera and started a career photographing weddings, portraits, and events all over the world. I quickly realised that while digital life was convenient, it didn’t carry the poetic story telling feel and authenticity that film photography did. I decided to follow that daydream of being a film photographer once again with the help of Jose Villa, and haven’t looked back since.

In 2015 I relocated from Ontario, Canada to London, UK to raise a family of four children with my husband Max Girardo. I can also often be found in the snowy mountains of Switzerland, eating cheese in France, or sipping wine in Italy while working on portraits, custom brand images, and social media management.
